Pair of armchairs by Tommi Parzinger for Charak Modern, circa 1940s

10,500.00

Wonderfully scaled high-back "Host" armchairs by Tommi Parzinger fully restored and reupholstered in a rich brown mohair velvet piped in leather. The frame is black-lacquered mahogany. Flared back legs and tapered front legs support a spring seat. Curved armrests end in round, ribbon-carved hand rests. These chairs nicely demonstrate Parzinger's masterful blending of modern and traditional styles. USA, circa 1940. 25-1/2" w x 24" d x 41" h; seat 20" h. Excellent condition.
