Pair of brass and glass bubble table lamps by Rupert Nikoll, circa 1950s

These amazing 1950s lamps by Rupert Nikoll of Austria feature a pierced drum of solid brass with blown glass protruding from each hole. We've reimagined them by adding new lucite bases and caps, and new polished-brass hardware and linen shades. Each uses two standard-base bulbs. Austria, circa 1950s. Overall 28-3/4" h x 16" in diameter; base 6-1/2" in diameter; shade 16" in diameter x 11" h. Excellent condition; minor patina to brass bodies; new wiring; new lucite; new hardware and shades. These lamps are at the 1stdibs Gallery at the New York Design Center, 200 Lexington Ave., 10th floor, New York, NY; a single example is at our Brooklyn showroom.
