James Mont carved helix table lamp

Exceptional carved helix table lamp in bleached mahogany with gilt accents, gilt base and cap, and original gilt shade and finial. Glass diffuser supports the shade. Uses a three-way mogul bulb. All original, except for new wiring. Designed by James Mont and manufactured by Frederick Cooper of Chicago, circa 1950s. Shade support and switch marked Frederick Cooper. Published in "James Mont: The King Cole Penthouse" by Todd Merrill, 2007. 47" h x 19" in diameter. Excellent condition; new wiring; wood and gilt in exceptional condition; patina to brass neck and socket cover; minor wear and age to original gilt shade. This item is in our Brooklyn showroom.
