Aldo Nason for A.V. Mazzega "Chain" ceiling fixture, circa 1970s

5,500.00

Stunning two-link "Chain" light by Aldo Nason for A.V. Mazzega, Italy, circa 1970s. The "Chain" series by Nason came in a variety of sizes and finishes, and included ceiling fixtures as well as floor lamps. This very fine example is a two-link ceiling fixture with brass fittings and hardware, and beautiful clear glass with drizzly orange inclusions. It's a knockout--a piece of jewelry for your ceiling. Takes six standard-base bulbs; to protect the glass from excessive heat build-up, we recommend using maximum 25-watt incandescent bulbs, or using LED bulbs, which can provide more light using less wattage. 11" w x 11" d x 34" h. Excellent condition; brass fittings are in excellent condition with a few spots of patina, as shown; one barely visible 4" hairline crack to top outer portion of one crystal; crack doesn't compromise the structure and can only be felt on the outer layer of glass.
